Do you want to have a Meaningful Existence or a Meaningless Existence?
We all want to have meaning in our lives. Something to have that makes the struggles we go through worth it.
It’s not an easy quest to find meaning in your life, however. I don’t particularly want to sell all my wordly possessions, take a vow of chastity and/or poverty and tirelessly devote myself to the poor people of the world. Of course there’s nothing wrong with that, if that’s what you want to make of your life, it’s just not for me.
What can I do, then, do have a meaningful existence?
I don’t have any children and don’t particularly want any of my own, but I can be there for my nieces and nephews. I can be the greatest aunt to them and serve as a role model in their lives.
I can dig deep within myself to determine what my purpose in life is and develop enough courage to pursue it. I know that it’s not going to be easy, but nothing that comes easily is worth it.
I can give of myself in many other ways so that I can bring meaning into my life.
I can strengthen the existing relationships that I have with my family and friends, and continue to buiild new ones.
I can help those who truely need my help and not just those people who it’s easy to help.
What are you doing to have a Meaningful Existence?
