Welcome to Day 7 of the Just For Today Challenge – 31 Days To A Better You. How did you do yesterday with watching absolutely no TV? Were you able to make it the entire day without watching your favourite programs? I told you that you would survive not watching the idiot box
Are you still waking up a 1/2 hour earlier like on Day 3 of the Challenge? If you are, great! Way to go! If not, why did you revert back to your old ways?
Today’s Challenge should be very easy and overall will take very little extra time for you to complete.
Today is Thank You Day here at the Challenge.
Today you will be saying Thank You at least 10 times today. That’s a minimum 10 times. Of course, you can go to town on this challenge, but try to spread it out throughout your day. Don’t leave it until the end of the day and say Thank You only to your dog
Show your gratitude today. Here are some ways:
- You can say Thank You to your child for picking up their clothes today.
- You can say Thank You to your spouse for doing the dishes.
- You can say Thank You to the bus driver or the gas station attendant or the retail clerk.
- You can say Thank You to your boss for a new assignment.
- You can say Thank You to the meter maid for giving you a ticket.
- You can say Thank You to the waitress who served you or to the dentist that checked your teeth today.
It doesn’t matter whom you pick. The Challenge is to say Thank You to at least 10 people today and, most importantly, mean it. People can tell when you are insincere. Take a few moments to be conscious of those that help us during the day and express your gratitude.
I’ll start. Thank You very much for reading my articles and being part of this Challenge. I truly appreciate every one of you.
Did you get any unexpected results from this Challenge? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
Come back tomorrow for the next Challenge task. Will it be another easy one or something harder for you to complete? You’ll have to wait and see

Thank you for stopping by, Julie. I’m so glad that you are loving the challenge so far.
Ahh, that’s really sweet of you to say.
You made my day
I like this challenge. Saying thank you with real gratitude is such a meaningful thing to do, but it’s often overlooked. I think it’d be an excellent thing to do regularly. I’ll start off by doing it for today

Hi Jackie,
That’s great news that you will be saying Thank You and completing this Challenge.
One can just do the challenges for Just For Today, but obviously I want people to be more conscious in their everyday actions so that they internalize some of the challenges and continue with them past the 31 days.
Welcome to the Just For Today Challenge

Wow, you have something really cool going on. I am quite happy I found your blog. By the way, I found your blog through Jeremy Schoemaker. I am a total TV lover. Its going to be quite tough to stay away from that
The Thank You challenge should not be hard at all. Firstly, I want to Thank you for creating such a challenge
.
Thanks again,
- Kristina

Welcome Kristina,
Thanks so much for the kind words and I hope you enjoy the rest of the Challenges this month. Some will be harder than others. I had a hard time staying away from the TV as well, but I know that I get some much done without the distraction and have to wean myself away from it
Are you starting back at Day 1?
Thanks,
Karen
Hi Karen,
Though I’m a bit late for the challenge I want to say Thank You for giving me an encouraging comment over my post on Blogussion. It really felt good having someone believe in my uniqueness which has been manifested in my writing style. Again, Thank You.
Well, it’s love all around, eh? See, I told you that good things would come from this Challenge.
Welcome to the Challenge, and there’s no problem starting on any day.
You’re welcome, Walter. And, Thank You, for taking the courage to guest-post over at Blogussion, as you made quite an impression on a lot of readers and helped them with your article.
We should be celebrating our uniqueness, not trying to conform to be sheep. You are definitely not sheep.
Karen
