I like to check out different bloggers in the personal development niche and came across Dragos Roua’s site, Brillantly Better, a few months ago.
Dragos defines himself as a “serial online entrepreneur, personal development fanatic, blogger, father, dreamer, risk taker. He also think happiness is a process, not a goal.” I really like his writing style of personal development articles and find his posts very insightful.
As you know, I had my Just For Today Challenge – 31 Days To A Better You series last month where we challenged ourselves each day in January to change one thing Just For Today. While there are some pretty fantastic tips that I wrote about during that Challenge, Dragos has also written a great ebook that offers an additional 100 Ways To Improve Your Life.
At 108 pages long, the ebook is chockfull of sound advice and offers insights on a variety of different ways that we can improve our lives.
Some of the ways to improve our lives, such as Create a New Habit, Build Self Discipline, Get a New Job, Start a New Diet, and others are common-sense ways that we have all heard before, but they still bear repeating as they are pretty universal. The more you are exposed to ideas, the better chance you have of adopting the ideas.
It’s the not-so-common ways such as Find Reason to Agree, Be Better Not Perfect, Stop Wasting Your Power, Follow A Coincidence, Stop Being Judgemental, and Stop Being a Follower that provide a great value and are unique. They gave me something to think about and how I can adopt the new ways to improve my own life.
I particularly liked the advice about Not Faking Your Life. My recent article Are You Being Your True Authentic Self touches on this important topic. People want and need you to be your true self. People can spot fakers a mile away. It’s much more courageous to be your authentic self.
I also really liked the advice about Fixing Something on Your Own. I think that this advice is excellent and really increase your confidence in yourself and your abilities. Yesterday, while I was vacuuming, all of a sudden the lights went out and the vacuum didn’t work. I can’t remember the last time I blew a fuse and since this is a new apartment for me, I didn’t even know where the fuse box was. Plus, I wasn’t really in any condition to go out and buy some fuses. I finally located the fuse box and was a little perplexed at the fuse box since nothing was identified and I didn’t see any individual fuses. One of the switches wasn’t aligned with the rest of the others. I was kind of scared to touch anything, especially related to electricity (who knows what might blow up) but I thought to myself, ‘What’s the worst that could happen? Either this switch turns the lights and vacuum back on or it doesn’t’. I flipped the switch and wouldn’t you know it? The lights came back on!
I’m so glad that I didn’t have to sit in the dark and stew and wonder how to fix something so easy. I took the risk and it paid off. It built up my confidence and now I know what to do if the power ever cuts out again. I finished vacuuming my place and felt better about myself because I was able to figure out how to fix something myself and didn’t have to rely on anyone else.
The more you change your life for the better, the more you grow.
If you’re looking for useful, no-fluff ways to improve your life, this book has 100 of them. Incorporating all 100 ways might be quite a challenge, but you can incorporate many of the ways described in the ebook to make your life a little better. In fact, you may already be doing some of them, but there’s a such a variety of areas that you can choose from that I’m sure that you will be able to find something that you haven’t thought of before. I know that I was suprised to find some ways that I hadn’t considered before. But, I’m considering them now.
If you are interested in other ebooks in addition to the 100 Ways To Improve Your Life, Dragos has several other ebooks that you should also check out, including 100 Ways to Screw Up Your Life , The 7 Ages of An Online Business , and 30 Sentences For A Millionaire Mindset.
This is the third part in a 5-part series that I’m having this week on books. Here’s part one and part two. I hope you enjoy this review and the upcoming ones.

I have this ebook on my computer and haven’t got to it yet but am going to very soon. I’m also doing a review on it so we’ll have to see how I like it.
I’ve had a similar experience to yours and I believe we all grow when that sort of things happens to us.
Just a few days ago I was driving around getting things done and I really wanted to go down town to get the new tag for my car’s licence plate as I haven’t drove my car for months and am wanting to get it up and going again.
I was thinking I might need my license plate with me or something else but I at least had my license plate number on me. I got down town and put my quarters in the machine hoping I had enough time to get in there and hoping my license plate number was all I would need. Sure enough I had enough time and sure enough again, the number as all I needed. I just went for it and things worked out for me.
In fact, the time I had left was 10 minutes! lol
