Blog

It’s Good Friday here and the start of the long weekend. Friday is the usual day that I share with you some of the articles that I’ve read this week that have made an impact on me. These articles are not just good, they’re great :-)

I hope you enjoy checking them out.

First up is Tim over at his site A Daring Adventure who writes about the 7 Myths of Self-Development Exposed. Only 7? Which ones do you think he left out?

Next is Dave at The Launch Coach who really hit a nerve with many people when he told us that Insecurity Doesn’t Pay The Bills. This article really enforced the belief that we all are just really insecure human beings and that those people who are able to overcome this insecurity can go and do something meaningful with their lives. A great read. Check it out and let me know what you think.

I read a lot of different blogs in different areas. I subscribe to the Location Independent Professionals blog and devoured this great article: Why You Don’t Need To Be Location Independent (And Neither Do We). Some great quotes from the article that really spoke to me;

•If you’re looking for more excitement in life, you can find it right where you are now.
•If you’re looking for more friends & a better social life, you can find it right where you are now.
•If you’re looking for more business & customers, you can find them right where you are now.
•If you’re looking for more relaxation & less stress, you can find it right where you are now.

Steven at Change Your Thoughts – Change Your Life wrote a very interesting article about Feeding The Mind With Food. He makes the case for eating consciously. Such an informative article!

Last, but not least, we have Ben over at 6Aliens who writes about 6 Outstanding Ways To Support Someone In Their Dreams. A great tongue-in-cheek article. Go check it out.

I hope you have a fantastic Easter weekend for those that celebrate it.

I’m so looking forward to this long weekend. My Mom is coming into town to stay with me so I’ll get some great home-cooking while she’s here. Can’t wait. Yum.

Hi Karen,
Having read a couple of these posts already this week I can only concur – not just good, they’re great. I particularly enjoyed Tim’s 7 myths of self-development because there were urban myths in there that I had no idea weren’t true!

I have to also echo what you said about Ben’s clever post. Brilliantly written and more telling for its subtlety.

Have a fabulous time with you mum. Can’t beat home cooked fair.

Happy Easter!
Eleanor

Hi Moon,

Glad that I was able to introduce you to some new sites. Fair warning, LIP is an addictive site that will open your mind to be location independent.
