A Meaningful Existence 2010 Year In Review

Fireworks. Celebration
It’s hard to believe that another year is upon us. Didn’t we just go through this 364 days ago? :-)

Not only is it time for a new year, but it’s also the start of a new decade, too. 2010 is no more. When I think back over the last decade of my life, I am pretty happy overall with what I’ve done with my life. What I’m most happy with is my sense of wanting more out of life and being able to go after it.

I’ve made some pretty massive personal changes in the last few years and I know that 2011 will be another year for change. I don’t like staying with the status quo for long – there’s too much to experience and do with life to be stuck in one place.

This site is over a year and a half old and there has been some great highs that I’ve felt writing this year, as well as some low periods. Let’s concentrate on the highlights – my new message of optimism for 2011.

  • Karen,

It has been a heck of a year. Both good and bad. I think that is the way the most years are. hopefully the balance has been to the good. I know certainly the balance of your writing has been to the good side as shown by these great posts.

Just reading through the list I remembered reading most of the posts that you listed. That is a very good thing because I think I forgotten as much as I’ve learned over the past year.

Thanks for all the great stuff you’ve written over the past year and I look forward to so much more for the next year.

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas/new year break. Now it is time to put the nose back to the grind stone and put our best foot forward for awesome 2011.

    • Hi Steve,

I know what you mean! With so many posts written over the course of the year, it’s really hard to remember them all. You have even harder time as you have written a post every single day since last February. That’s a wonderful achievement!

Thank you so much for your support over the last year, I truly appreciate you!

I hope you have a wonderful New Year!

      Thanks,
      Karen

  • Karen,
It was wonderful to see the highlights from your blog for 2010. I understand why “Why You Need To Write In Your Goals Book Daily” was the most commented post. It was one of my favorites. I also loved your posts on the “Victim Myth” as controversial as they may have been. I’m not sure I’ve caught all these posts, so I’m glad to have this chance to follow the links for the ones I missed.

I really appreciate your writing, Karen. It has depth, perspective, and caring.

Wishing you a super optimistic 2011.

    • Hi Sandra,

Thanks so much for your kind words, Sandra. They really do mean a lot to me. I try :-)

Isn’t it funny how the ones you think aren’t that impactful becomes the article that everyone sees value? I’m glad that everyone seems to think writing down their goals daily is a fruitful exercise (it certainly worked for me).

All the best to you and your family for 2011.

      Thanks,
      Karen

    • Hi Matthew,

Happy New Year to you as well. I’m glad to see that you took some time off and spent it with your family over the holidays. Your son’s first Christmas is a special time.

Yes, it’s that time again. Thinking of the possibilities for a new year can be very exciting. I just hope someome develops a way of slowing time down because 2010 went by way too fast.

      All the best in 2011,
      Karen

Well then, first of all Karen – allow me to say that it has been hard work but you are welcome.
All jokes aside, this site may exist because of the readers but you are the one who makes it meaningful! You could almost call your blog A mea… never mind.
    Anyway…

This is a great idea for a post, not just for SEO and for the readers, but also for you – I bet you had a great time compiling it :)

Take care Karen – sorry its so long between visits, but you know how it is.

    Have a meaningful 2011!
